Got yah. I might have to look into getting some silverstars since mine are tinted so I need some extra light output on my reverse lights.

...the back up lights are incandescent. The only thing LED about those tail lights are the brake and parking lights. They have nothing to do with your back up camera.

Hey I like that second set you posted on ebay!! Those look exactly like the stock OEM ones!! I'm used to seeing the first set where the parking/brake lights look different and I never liked those ones.

I stand corrected. I was told they were LED, which seemed odd because LEDs have typically been behind standard bulbs in lumens.

In other news, the new tailights are still ugly. Even moreso now that they serve no apparent purpose.

The purpose is that they are brighter at both night and day, and coming on about 1/4th of a second faster.

You just need to paint the outside...

Right, but it also happens to be true, which gives it that extra oomph.

I'm at Ft. Campbell. I'd be happy to drive to your location tomorrow (or any day) and swap your tails out on the spot with my '08s in perfect condition. I'll do all the traveling and install work. All you have to do is snap your fingers. Plus no mailing lights means you won't be without tails for any period of time.
