Hey do you see that Search button up there? Its your buddy!

You need a CB of your choice, Coax Cable ( 12ft +) and a tunable antenna (firestik, wilson etc...)

There's no special thing to look for. The most common CB type transmits AM, on 40 channels. They are limited to 4 watts output by federal regulation, and most any radio you buy will be putting out pretty close to that power.

If you want a PA (public address--a speaker you can talk through with the CB serving as an amplifier), weather receive capability, etc. then you should look at those options.

Offerings from Cobra, Midland, Radio Shack, and Uniden are known decent brands. I would stay away from off-brand and "import" radios.

Anyone who wants to sell you an amplifier is putting you at risk of FCC fines and equipment confiscation. If you want more range than legal CB will give you, earn an amateur radio license and you can talk to the world.

Choice of antenna is important. Don't go magnetic mount -- mount something permanently. You can find a lot of options at a two-way radio shop, or online. Firestik is a popular antenna choice.

Good advice. By the way I was just messing with the OP. They're something in every price range for you. I'm considering getting one too. I would recommend getting one with a weather radio module, but that's just my personal opinion. They seem to also have bluetooth capabilities but frankly I'm not sure what they're accomplishing with that.

CB, Antenna, coax and some wiring. CB is cheap!

Here is the CB radio I would get.
Awesome radio in a small package.
    AM and SSB

Not all antennas are created equal. Some are expensive and perform terribly.
If you need help choosing an antenna or installation pm me

Firestick is an awesome tunable antenna!! What ever radio you get, I would have it "peaked and tuned"!!

That's really not necessary, factory tuning should be fine on any quality CB.

If you find a repair technician with the proper license, they can adjust a CB to be closer to the maximum legal output, but for the money you spend doing that you would be better off buying higher quality coax or a better antenna.

+ 1 to Got Tacoma's post. I've had cb's for awhile and although I don't use them any more due to cell phones, the Galaxy would be my first choice.
