Ramp - Which one ?

Didn't you just get you truck? And you changed the oil already?

 

LOL, me either... I can change it on my driveway and the oil POURS out. Check out the slope of my driveway!!!

Oil changes are a breeze!

 

We can't do that on the 4.0 as it's on top of the engine

 

I suppose you could put the truck on a full rotisserie like is often done for vehicle restoration. Turn it upside down, fill filter, install filter, turn truck back right-side up.

Seems a little obsessive though.

 

Little off topic but, beautiful house. Do you need 4WD to park ? How do you keep the yard from washing away in a heavy rain ?

Changed it at 1200 miles put in Mobile-1 and a new YZDD3

 

The stone walls help with the rain. I only need 4WD to back up the driveway.

 

Could I borrow your rotisserie when I rust proof my frame ?

 

I have the Rhinos. You do have to watch out for the rubber pads on the bottom as they do have a tendency to fall out. Been thinking about using some RTV silicone to stick them in there, but it's just not a high priority for me. They work OK and sometimes do slide for my son's car. I don't have a problem with them doing this on my Tacoma.

 

I use the Rhino's also for my wife's Lexus. The small rubber plugs don't keep it from sliding but I use a long mat under them and it stays put.

 

could use a bed mat if people are having problems with the ramps sliding and have a bed mat.

 

No... I use a regular hydraulic jack & jack stands.

I crawl underneath the truck without jacking it up for most jobs. The only time I need to jack it up is to rotate the tires (and rear diff service cuz my exhaust is in the way).

Looks like every body uses Rhino's rather then anything else. Wonder if it is because they are cheaper, more available or what but I guess I'll go with them since there are no other suggestions. Thanks everybody.

 

For changing oil, I personally like a jack and Jack stands, but I got these ramps from Costco a while ago, thou I haven"t seen them for a while.

All steel ramps work great for loading or unloading bikes, quads or loaded hand truck or dolly.

 

^^^^^That looks good Mandy. I have been looking for one of these. Although I got 2 pairs of 4 ton jack stands and 4 ton floor jacks I wanted to add one of these. How much you paid for it if you don't mind me asking?
