It's made by Toyota and they don't sell the T-Bolts.

I had the name wrong, its the cargo divider.

So far I've been to 2 Toyota dealers and they were no help. There is a part number but its not something they can order and I can't find it online other than in the install manual.

Went to 2 specialty shops in town and both told me to make my own t-bolt as they have nothing like this in stock or that they can order.

It's insane how hard it is to find this bolt.

Just a bunch of old crap
Get a hold of Socalduckslayer who owns Pelfreybilt and he makes his own t slot nuts that he uses for his bed racks. He'll sell you the t slot nut with large bolt for it, and they work awesome. I got 6 from him for my old bed rack and they're perfect.

    Sent him a PM. Thanks.

Can you slide the bed racks? The t-bolts I have hold it in place great but they snag on the underside of the bed rails where the cutouts are. My buddy has the same divider and he can slide it with one hand. Mine takes 2 people.

Rockler woodworking has rail attachment hardware for wood workers.... I have some of their t-bolts. I can check to see if they fit the bed rail. can you post a detailed/close-up pic of what it is you need to do? Do you need a t-bolt, or a t-nut?

There's some links to Grizzly t-slot nuts earlier in the thread, I got a bunch and they work really well. Part # G9514.

1/2" carriage bolts work well too but they're a tight fit and can bind up in there if you don't slide them around just right (and frequently even if you do).

The G9514, a 1/2" eye bolt, a normal 1/2" nut, a large rubber washer, and a large fender washer combine to make a very solid tie-down point. I keep a stubby 3/4" open face / ratchet wrench in the truck so I never have to hunt for something to tighten these up.

Here are two pictures one is it assembled where the t-bolt connects to the handle with a rubber grip on it and that's what secures it into the bed rail system. The second picture shows the T Bolt and the handle. If the T-bolt was half an inch longer and oval it would work but it gets caught in the rails the way it is now.

    Also the t-bolts are M8x1.25

Here is a good pic of it attached to the bed rails.

Ahhhh, so that t-nut that you posted earlier was different than the ones in your last post..... easy to make.... if you have the tools.
Those notches are there to act as "pre-set" locations for the bed cleats. You might just need to loosen them some more, and push the star knob in to allow the divider to slide more easily.... maybe a little wd-40 too? Is that your problem, they wont slide easily? I have the toyota surf rack bars, and same thing... sometimes they slide easily, sometimes they get cocked slightly and lock up in the bed rails... just have to straighten it to get it sliding again.

If I get a chance, I can make a couple for you (if nothing else works), but I dont know that they would fit the notches in the bed rail, to lock in place. Do they have to be metric?

    Crooks420,

You are correct it doesn't slide well. I can push both knobs in and move it but its hard for me to do by myself. My buddy has T-bolts that came with his that are about an inch long and are oval (exactly like the pic on the first page) and he can move the divider with one arm from one side of the truck.

The don't need to fit the notches at all, the stock ones are bigger than the notches in the bed rails and that's what I'm looking to make. The handles that came with it are Metric but I don't think it'd be to hard to find new handles if I have too.

    Edit,

Right now I'm trying to use washers to space the bolt head back further so it doesn't snag into the cutouts on the bed rails. Hope this works.

I can check my Rockler t-bolts later today to see if they fit the bed rail... the look like the pic in post #268 (by you)..... and that is what you want right? You already have the square looking t-bolts as in your last post with pics right?

Correct I'm looking for T-bolts that are exactly like the pic in post 268.

The square ones would work great if they were longer than the cutouts in the bed rails but that's what I have now.

I checked out your build page.... seems like you have some fabrication skills.... have you considered making the t-bolts exactly how you want them?

If I had a welder and knew how to weld I could do this myself and just build one. But I don't have that equipment and don't know anyone who does. Figured there would be somewhere on the vast internet how makes these bolts.

Ok.... so how long does the bolt need to be? I would have to buy some (dont have many long metric bolts), cut the head off and weld to the "nuts" that I made.... or would just the nut work for you (on right in pic)?

I actually pulled this bolt off my motorcycle hand-guards for the pic.

    That's way awesome.

The entire T-bolt is 1.5 inches. That's the base + thread.
