    Hi guys,

Does anybody here have the "Diamond Kote" on their truck? What do you think about it?
I bought my truck used from a guy at work and he said that this stuff is suppose to be better than oil undercoating and I was just wondering if I should continue using Diamond Kote on it since its already been done and if it's good long term?

    Thanks.

The Diamond Kote I am thinking of is a one time only application. I viewed a vehicle the other day that was 3-4 years old and had Diamond Kote applied when new. It wasn't 100% rust free, but certainly allot better than if is was left bare.

Yeah you're right, from what I heard you can bring it once a year and they will inspect the truck for any spots of the stuff that have fallen off or whatever and will patch them.

Is this something that is done by dealership? Is this what they use?

This is usually performed by an outside independent garage. What part of Canada do you live?

My in laws own an independent shop in our city that performed this as well as many other undercoatings and treatments for other companies.

In our neck of the woods Toyota, Ford, and Hyundai pushes the First Canadian Line, while Honda sells the Diamond Kote. Krown is another popular product as well.

I've applied hundreds of Krowns and dozens of First Canadian and Diamond Kote treatments. Unfortunately for this thread however, only the Krown vehicles return annually so I can't really comment on the other two hold up on an annual basis.

Any other questions feel free to PM me.
