sorry if i sounded snippy or something. didnt mean it like that. i started to bolt them, but that was a bitch, so i went the welded route. i had a muffler shop weld them on for me and they did a bad mounting job. welded them too close to the body. this time i'm going to have a local off road shop do it and it'll be done right....whether they need to trim the pinch weld or not

    There's a few out there:

    wabfab
    demello
    stubb's
4xInnovations (related to wabfab somewhow I think)
    Shrockworks
    All-Pro

Find the ones you like the best for the price you want to pay. Looks like most are more or less the same material, just different shapes. You can save money by not powder coating them. They'll scratch anyway, so why not do it yourself with a few coats of Rustoleum Hammer Finish so you can touch them up for "free" when you inevitably have to (assuming you have paint left over). Or for $5 worth of paint. Not gonna fix powder coat after they're welded to the truck, and do you really wanna mess with unbolting them to fix scratches so they don't rust out?

I can't say enough about the new suspension. I went out again last night and I absolutely love it.... I have a good ride on and off road. I have tons of control and it feels like I am connected to the ground. The extra travel is super nice.... What I do need is alot longer rear shocks though. My springs and brakelines are good for at least another 6-8" of downtravel....although I hardly ever lift a tire as it is.

yeah I am running the rear resivoir shocks and a set of custom built Deaver springs. Up front I am running the extended travel coilovers, I can't find the part number but they are the extended travel ones. In order to get the full droop out of them you don't have to run a new lower control arm you have to use a new upper control arm. I am also running Icon Upper control arms so I do get all of the travel. And I can tell. I have way more travel than the Bilstein 5100 setup and TSB rear leaf springs and 1.5" block that I had before...Really those two setups should not even be compared to each other. I love my entire setup the only thing I wish I would have done was lay out the extra cash to get the 305/70R17 GoodYear MT/R's instead of the 285/70R17 BFG KM2's. Other than that I love it. Longer rear shocks would make it that much better. So I wait for the new Icon 2.5" rear shocks to come out, swap into those and get some bigger tires and I am ready to go, suspension wise anyway. Then I need 4.56's, a ARB up front, CBI sliders, CBI front bumper, and Bud Built skid plates. Then I am ready to tackle anything I did in my previous '98. That is just the off road stuff though. I still want to get a Borla cat back, Volant intake, Safari Snorkel, URD y-pipe, TRD supercharger and lots of little things like a stereo and other junk. It will never end!!

Beats $1,000+ damaged rocker panels, doors, etc that may never fit right if you hit a rock or tree the wrong way.

Haha indeed I did. I was just wondering through the village of lost Slider threads and came across this little gem. Thought it was a valid point since thats what I was planning to do so I played a little god and gave it a second chance at life.
