Just got back from dealer who performed tsb-0119-10 and a huge difference in the steering. I had it done because of a rattle going of bumps and rough surfaces which I think is the front brake pads. The steering is now firmer and makes the whole truck feel more solid....Took about 2hrs to perform the service but worth it....thx

Ugh... my dealer won't do it, says it's only for clunks you get all the time, even when sitting and turning the wheel. Instead, he gave me an Energy Suspension power steering rack bushing kit (very nice of him!)... for 1995-2000 trucks. :(

I Would go Above Whoever Told You No. All I Had to Do Was Tell Them I Have Clunks When Going Over Anything Lot Level and the TSB Was Taken Care Of (I Think It Helped Walking in There Knowing About The TSB)

I did take in the TSB, and it was the service manager that gave me the bushings and told me the TSB wasn't for my problem (despite the fact it says so right in the description!). So, I'll probably have to find another dealer, argue with him some more, or talk to the dealership manager. It's frustrating, but they did the rear spring upgrade with no complaints.

I haven't noticed this problem in mine, but since my warranty is up in April, 2011, and in about 6000 miles, I'll have to keep this in mind when I drive. I think I'm going to hit some pot holes today. :D

I didn't know about this TSB but I've noticed my truck making noise going down my road. I live on a dirt road with lots of holes. Thanks for posting it.

Mine was rattling/ knocking on rough surfaces as well and couldn't figure it out until I realized the trailer hitch was rattling inside the receiver. i crammed a wood shim in there and voila! (Probably not the same issue)

My dealer is performing TSB-0119-10 today. I didn't get a runaround neither. I simply emailed my service writer about my steering problem and sent him the TSB. He ordered the parts and set me up an appointment. I'll post a review after I picked it up and test drive it on gravel.

I would try it. From what I understand about warranty, factory covers the first 36K/3yrs which ever comes first, thereafter your extended kicks in. Mine is still covered by factory but I also have up to 100k extended. I'll keep going back to the dealer for every repair/tsb I can find 'till I used them all up, cuz after that its coming out of my pocket!

The dealer replaced the steering shaft on mine. It made a big diference. Feels like a different truck.
