Hate that this is my second post and it's asking for help, lol. But being many-a forum member, I can say I've at least used the search function before posting this :D

Here are the various "Tests - Results" I've done (apologies if some of these tests are extensive/not needed):

    (Key Not In)
    Driver Door Open:

    • FOB "Lock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Nothing
    • FOB "Unlock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Unlocks
    • Door "Lock" switch - Driver: Locks / Passenger: Locks
    • Door "Unlock" switch - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Unlocks
    Driver Door Closed:

    • FOB "Lock" - Driver: Locks / Passenger: Locks
    • FOB "Unlock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Unlocks
    • Door "Lock" switch - Driver: Locks / Passenger: Locks
    • Door "Unlock" switch - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Unlocks
    (Key In)
Ignition In ON Position, Door Opened:

    • FOB "Lock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Nothing
    • FOB "Unlock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Nothing
    • Door "Lock" switch - Driver: Locks / Passenger: Locks
    • Door "Unlock" switch - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Unlocks
Ignition In ON Position, Door Closed:

    • FOB "Lock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Nothing
    • FOB "Unlock" - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Nothing
    • Door "Lock" switch - Driver: Locks / Passenger: Locks
    • Door "Unlock" switch - Driver: Nothing / Passenger: Unlocks
I've successfully reprogrammed the FOB twice, and after both reprogramming successes I've yielded the same above results. My guess is, the unlock aspect of the automatic lock on the driver's side isn't functioning. Has anyone ran into this problem? Anyone have knowledge/experience with this issue? Any solutions/suggestions/advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :headbang:

Sounds like the lock actuator is bad.

Any way to test to be certain? Also, if this is the case and I purchase a new one, is this something fairly easy to DIY? I'm about a 3/10 on the mechanical side, but if it doesn't require too much technical knowhow I'm sure I can pull it off.

I never done one but probably the hardest thing to do is pull off the interior door panel. Right now I'm drawing a blank on how to test a lock actuator.

Good Luck with solving your problem.

Thank you kindly for the suggestion. I'll note it, and await more responses. I'm already hoping for the best, planning for the worst.. :frusty::rant::goingcrazy::mad:

I'm having the exact same problem on my 2010! Any luck with your '05?

How about swapping the drivers side actuator to the passenger side. If the problem follows, you know you have a bad actuator.

Well friend, I have absolutely no solid solution for this issue myself. I believe I researched more and found out the actuator can do this from time to time (like it gets debris on it or something that causes it to hang up). In any event, my issue went away on its own in no time after me posting this. I hope the same for you, but if you want technical assurance I'd say keep watching this thread. Best of luck to ya m8.
