TX Pro gas mileage

has anyone had there TX Pro long enough to see what there average gas mileage is? and why is the gas mileage lower in the city and highway on the TX Pro then a regular TRD tacoma?

 

What kind of milage are you getting.

 

Might have to do with the exhaust, and the wheels might be heavier than stock as well. Heavier wheels means its makes more to get them moving, which means less MPG. I don't actually know the stats though, so this is a total guess.

 

Make sure you are the one you are comparing are the same. ex: 4x4 to 4x4, 4.0L to 4.0L.

 

Manual transmission? If you're comparing yours to an automatic transmission, the mpg on the manual is worse. They're geared higher so they rev higher at highway speeds.

 

Just filled up for the second time but I am keeping track so I can let you know.

 

TX Pro 4.0L DC 4X4

I have filled up six times and average a little over 17MPG. I ordered a scanguage and hope to bring it up some.

 

The sticker on the window for the TX Pro is 1 mpg more hwy and city than the regular TRD OR. no idea how much in real practice.

 

I have a 4.0L double cab TX Pro and I'm getting 17 mpg. Most of that would be considered city driving.
