Has anyone ever attempted to make a 2nd gen bicycle attachment? If so what parts and materials did you use?

I bought a cheap mount from rocky mounts then fabbed a bracket to mount it the bed rail on my truck. I didn't want to spend large amount of money for the for the ones made for our trucks.. spent 30 bucks (total on two) and I'm happy

Got this Xport skewer mount from performance bike for 10 dolla'. Couple bolts, nuts and washers and good to go! So far hasnt failed me. Even works with my tonneau which i recently added to keep snow out of the bed.
