CB Radio Help

I tried to install my new COBRA 148 GTL Single Sideband CB Radio tonight, but as soon as I got done with running wires, the fuse on the CB radio blew and it was 930pm. I replaced the fuse and it kept blowing.

Wires aren't mixed up either, I triple checked.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check your power wire to make sure the insulation didn't get pinched or exposed. If it is and is touching metal or another wire this would cause the fuse to blow when you power up. Make sure you have the right size fuse as well.

x2..what they said. It's probably a pinched wire or somethin but if you can't find one check to see if the case on the radio is not touching the board on the inside of your radio. I know its a long shot but i had a siren one time that kept doing the same thing and couldn't figure out why. Come to find out the screws that held the case on were loose and were letting the metal case short out the siren across the hot and ground solder spots on the board on the inside lol.
