Toyota brand tacoma Seat cover install SR5

I bought my 08 and had the dealership install the seat covers. They look awesome but the driver side cover has a problem and I'm not sure if they installed it properly. At the base of the seat between the seat back and seat cushion there is a foam tube that tucks in the the crack to keep the cover tight. The tube keeps popping out when I get in/out and I have to tuck it back in every time. The delereship just "tucked" it in during the install. Is that the proper way and I just have to deal with it, or should it pull through the back of the seat for a permanent grip? Thanks for any help.

I have the Toyota brand seat covers on an 07 double cab and experienced the same problem with the tube not fitting in the crack of the seat. The tube is a bit longer than the width of that crack, so you may have to trim a little off the tube and it should fit perfectly with no problems. I've had my covers on for about a year with no problems. Hope this helps!

 

It definitely should be pushed all the way into the seat. It's not easy to do, but you will know it when it is right. Just start on one side and work your way over.

Bump because some asshole pulled out the piece of my seat covers and now it won't go back in.
