Guys who are running 35's on a 3" lift...did you guys re gear or are you using the stock gears. I'm thinking that since I'm gonna be buying new tires soon, i might as well do the body mount chop at the same time and throw a 35 on there.

I fit 35's no problem with a 4" lift and no body chopping for me. I went wide for wheels so that helped some. I am using stock gears on my automatic v6. More than enough power. Aluminum wheels help. Steel wheels are just so damn heavy.

I believe I was first or one of the first on here running a 3" lift and 35's, and still have the stock 3.73's in my truck. I can make up for them with my 6 speed quite well. I will, however, be regearing to 4.10 or maybe 4.56's once I can afford to do front and rear lockers and gears all at the same time. There is quite a bit of trimming to be done to clear the 35's just so you know.

yeah man check out my build for pics. I did an inital trim, then trimmed some more, then almost ripped both my front fender flares off and finally got some help by a skilled friend of mine to clearance 2" out of all 4 of my flares and weld them to look like stock flares. We then hacked 2" out of all 4 of the sheetmetal fenders to install the new flares. The only place they rub any more is at full compression in the top of the fenderwell. To eliminate that some bumpstops are needed since dealing with it any other way would require hacking out the fenderwell/engine bay and re-plating it which is a bit more work then I want to hassle with.

He'll still rub the fenderwell under compression and 'glass typically doesnt line up nearly as good as factory sheet metal. I thought about doing 'glass but cost and looks kept me away. JMO
