Anyone use a car cover/truck to cover your truck. I have to leave it parked outside for a few months. Tired of the sun and bird shit eating everything up.

Any ideas? Cost? where to buy?(autozone?)

    thank you

If you don't plan on taking it on/off a lot...I think one from autozone will be fine. The cheap ones tend to start falling apart when you take them on/off frequently. Just make sure you wash the truck before hand. Any foreign objects on the paint could scratch it when the cover moves with wind. Also make sure its tied down well. I would probably run a strap underneath the vehicle. A good gust of wind could take it off if it's not secured properly.

Make sure you get a waterproof one if it will be outside. Otherwise, you are better off not covering it at all....

Make sure you wax your truck before you put it on..

Dont cover it with a tarp this will do more damage then if you dont cover it. you should look into maybe seeing if you could leave it in a long term storage lot or see about renting a storage place. This would protect from hail damage, if there was any. it may be just as cheap as a good soft cover.
