Cleaning AFE or TRD CAI

Hey guys, I have the TRD cai and I was wondering if its ok to use K&N's clean and charge kit for the filter. Or does anyone know of something better and where to get it at? Thanks n advance

go onto AFEs website and get their oiled filter recharge kit. or thats what i would do. Mixing stuff is never good, Ive had air filters disintegrated when mixing oil based cleaners for the dirtbikes

If there is a 4wheelparts in your area, that's where I picked up my afe recharge kit that I used with my trd cai.

 

if you have a sythetic filter just use warm water and dish soap...

I got the AFE Pro Dry S Filter...and it non oil based...so all I do is pressure wash (not necessary) from the inside of the filter out...then let it dry for a few days...

I got 2 Pro Dry S Filters so I alternate 1 a month between the 2 to help them last longer...
