Color Matched Tailgate Handle

Ordered a color matched spray paint and clear to paint my pop n lock tailgate handle pyrite mica. came out pretty good except for the flatness (should have spent a little more time sanding). Initially did this because the pop n lock handle black paint was chipping so it needed to be painted anyway but now i'm glad i color matched it, I have the trd sport so it fits well with the door handles and bumpers.

Will get some pics of the handle on the truck soon.

Nice .. I was thinking of doing it when I send some stuff to get color matched ... Is it hard to take it off

 

Where did you order the paint from?I have ordered from several places and the Silver Streak Micah never matched.

 

I painted the handle, mirror bases, and license plate light covers all BSP which matches the silver perfect.

 

I bought the Pop N Lock that came from them already painted Barcelona Red.

What is "BSP" ? More info pleaes. I want to paint some of my black parts silver.

B_ _ _ _ _ Sand Pearl, it's a colour.

I don't remember what the B is, I think it's black?

 

Thats what I was thinking but he said BSP matched his Silver perfectly... so then i was thinking it might be a paint brand or something.

Its different for sure, but i dont like it.

 

Yea black sand pearl, and I mean the contrast with the pearl in the paint goes well against the silver.

I used the adhesion promoter, primer, base color and clear.

The handle is fairly easy to take apart, just remember which springs go where.

Lastly i got the spray can trigger, helped out a lot, gave a good consistent coat.
