Drums are "Out of Round" on brand new Tacoma

So I found out this morning that my brakes are pulsating because the drums are defective. Well, at least it's nice to know that the dealer was able to diagnose the problem quickly and they are being replaced with new parts. However, I worry that the bad drums may have caused wear on my pads or other parts (1500 miles on the truck now). Anything to worry about...or just chill out?

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

^^That

1500 miles isn't much on brakes unless you abused themn the whole time.

can some explain what pulsating is? is it the feeling like something is tapping against the brake pedal from underneath when braking?

I wouldn't call it a tapping. More of a,,, pulsing, up down up down of the pedal. Maybe a lot, maybe a little, just depends how severely the rotors/drums are warped/out of round. When you apply the brakes, the caliper pistons push the brake pads against the warped rotor as it's turning. This causes the piston to pulse in and out. Brake fluid pushing back and forth to the master cylinder, making the pedal move up and down. I'm not a Tech. manual writer, so I hope this make sense. IMO torquing your wheel nuts will eliminate this, or at least reduce the problem.
