heads up to anyone who is installing the eyelids, buy two rolls of scotch double sided interior & exterior sticky tape (gray with red backing). this project takes 1-1/2 rolls.

the eyelids come painted in black primer only. i had my eyelids painted and clear coated on both sides to help the tape stick better to the eyelid.

Wow original. Looks a lot better than stupid eye lids. Oh I guess I should be a copy cat like you and get an ARB. Which I think looks really stupid on these smaller trucks. But hey whatever

If you don't like it, don't post.

I, by the way, like the eyelids. But I think they may be a little bit too big for me personally.

    I like them.
I'm glad people got different tastes because all of our trucks would look alike.
    Great job.

oh since its just an accessory i took it to MAACO AUTO BODY & PAINT. and they color matched it and painted it for $35 no tax and added $5 to paint the back side. hell of a deal! everywhere else wanted $150-$200 just to paint the front.

It's ironic that someone with grammar this poor is using the word "stupid" to insult someone's truck.

Hmmm.... I used a total of 5" of tape on each of the eyelids on my truck. Snug as a bug in a rug..... I hope you never have to get those off, you'll have your hands full for sure and will probably ruin them.

Is that 2 sided tape heat sensitive, or is that even a problem to be considered when installing the eyelids....

Love it man. Looks good

What type of tape did you use? Was it hard to install these? How much did they charge to paint? Would spray paint work?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm going to be doing this mod soon and I figured I'd ask.

I got an ARB because I drive highway a lot and needed something that I could smash deer with.

I see way more trucks with Chrome bull bumpers than with ARBs.

    Who's the copy cat now?

BTW, good job on being a complete bag of douche, you really earned your merit badge on that one champ. :smack:

Post Scriptum - I think Chrome bull bumpers are retarded. Hurray! Hollow chrome plated aluminum. A pedestrian will suffer less damage than that in an accident, and you'll still be out $300 for it. My ARB was $600 and is 3/8" Cold Rolled steel.
