BlueAnt Supertooth Magnet Mod

A few weeks ago I purchased a BlueAnt Supertooth Light handsfree speakerphone based on bauermike's glowing review. But I quickly ran into a problem. As light as this speakerphone is, it still drags my visor down into my field of vision when using the supplied visor clip.

I went to Home Depot and found some magnets like this for about $3


I pulled down the overhead console


I put some superglue on the back of the magnet, slid my arm between the roof and headliner and guesstimated where I wanted the magnet


I put some stick-on felt pads on the back of the unit which provded just enough friction to keep the unit from sliding down


So here's the view after the superglue is dry, and the magnet is in place


And here's the BlueAnt Supertooth Light hanging magically above my head, out of my field of vision!


It works great, and from what everyone's told me, the mic is in perfect position so that I can still be heard clearly.

Where did you get that bracket that show on photo # 1 I have the same one on my wife pacifica, I am looking one for my Tacoma, can you tell me how much is it and where you get it? Is it easy to install? Because I have a PPC cell phone and I use it for GPS. I look for it for a long time.

It's a Bracketron bracket. Just do a Google search and you should be able to find it fairly easy.

This is late, but I just use the hook side of some velcro. I put my old bluetooth module up there for a bit before getting a built in blue tooth. Anything with velcro sticks GREAT up on the headliner. I keep extra sets of name tapes/flag/patches for my uniform up there.
