    Im am also curious how well the tires clear. I intend to run the same size once mine wear out. I have glass, cab chopped and did the BFH mod on the pinch weld so I expect them to clear but will be tight for sure.

    They don't rub except at full lock right now. I haven't had a chance to take it out yet but I will be soon... i'll also be throwing in some spindles so that should help a LOT!

    I'd think you'd be good...

    For some reason I'm having a hard time believing that you don't rub, cause those are some LARGE tires. What size lift do you have? did you do the cab chop? Did you have to trim any else?

    Just asking cause from everything I've read it seems like 285's are pretty much the largest you can go without having to trim a lot. That is when wheeling and you cycle it up/down left/right. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm just curious. I'm about to lift mine so I'm trying to figure out what tires i want.....

    No biggie... I'm at about 3" of lift.. before these tires, I had 295's with NO trimming at all.. with these tires there was a lot of trimming... with stock fenders, it wasn't pretty and with the glass it clears waaaay better. The cab mount is also chopped... I haven't taken it through the desert yet but after my spindles I plan on it!

    I got my silver 6 speed 2011 TX Pro in September of 2010. I can't believe I haven't come across this thread before!! Before I bought my Tacoma I spent countless hours on this site and others trying to justify the cost of buying a new Tacoma to myself. When a not so bright salesman told me about the new TX Pro package, and that he would happily charge me to have shipped from Santa Barbara, i went home an called Toyota Santa Barbara myself and I found out that there were 6 in the state. I only ever managed to locate 3. I decide on the silver one in SB and I agreed to pay $500 over invoice. So drove down to get it but when I got there it had no tube steps! After I got home I looked up the advertisement and confronted the dealer, who was no help, and then Toyota, who also politely told me to piss off. After about 5 more calls and threatening to go to the local news they offered me a $500 credit!
    Long story short, I got my truck and I love it. To date the only changes I have made are a TRD short shift and a TWM M1 Abrams weighted knob. I plan to go crazy and change all kinds of stuff once it isn't my daily driver.

    Oh and by the way, the only other TX or TX pro I have seen since I bought mine was at a dealer. I have yet to see another one on the road! Anyone else out there have a TX in the bay area?

    With my 6" lift I never rubbed with my 33"s but when i went up to 35"s it was rubbing like crazy. I trimmed the plastics and did the CMC. No more rubbing.

    Hey did your TX PROs come with factory side steps? On the website it said that's part of the package but mine didn't...

    TX Pros are not supposed to come with the tube steps, but my dealer threw them in. Only the TXs should come with them.

    From Toyota.com
    TX= Rims+Tube Steps+ exhaust tip
    TX Pro= Rims + Cat back Exhaust+ exhaust tip

    both with TRD offroad package

    According to the original ad on the toyota website there are 3 types of accessories clearly marked; ones that come on both packages, ones that come on the T|X, and ones that come on the T|X Pro. I pointed this out to corporate after I bought my truck and they gave me a credit so they obviously agreed. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to read the print at the bottom of the pic I posted because I had to cut the file down so much, but it's clear that's what it said. If anyone wants the full size PM me and I can email it or something.

    ^ hmm, interesting. The way I read it was that it was just the 2 options. My TX Pro came with the running boards (even though I sold them right after I bought it) so I think I just didn't really care to read into it too much. That's nice they credited you!

    I was very happy about the credit instead of the tube steps as I had planned on just selling them anyway. Now I just have to think of something that I want at the dealership for $500.

    I just bought my first Tacoma last week, it's a TX Pro Access cab, and I know this is going to be really hard to believe, its a new 2011 TX pro. I still don't know why it was still there on the lot when 12s have been out for quite a while now, but it was and I got a killer deal on it being an 11'. I actually still kinda like the 11 front end better then the 12, so I was happy to find an 11 left over.
