If this was closer to me I'd be tempted to buy it myself. Then see if I could find another with a blown engine for cheap. Part out the rest.

 

I'm curious as to what happened to it, considering there is no airbag deployment or substantial visible damage.

Looks like you can get an inspection report if you become a member of the auction site.

 

yes because i cant piece together why it cost that much to fix if theres no severe damage that is visible? Might be frame damage?

 

I would call them an see what is all wrong with it and if they have an inspection report on the damage to send a copy to you. And also get many more pictures of all the damaged areas.

 

the engine looks crooked in the photo under the hood... and i think it's safe to assume that if you can't see the damage from the outside and the estimated cost to repair is 23k my guess is there's a lot of mechanical damage... i would consider for parting out only, and given the distance I'd say stay away from this hot mess.

Looks like frame damage. The bid is already up to $1,500 might still be a hard shot to turn a profit, if you plan to part it out.

I think I would buy it if it were near me. Shit if you got it for 2k, you could easily part it out and make a profit. I like the wheels and tires. What the hell happened to it? It doesnt look bad.

 

Trail rig for sure. But its not worth shipping anywhere in that condition. I want those rims though...

By the time this auction ends on 11/29, I wouldn't be surprised if the final sales price is in the 8k-10K range. Add shipping cost and a salvage title, not quite the deal we thought.
