H20 in Headlights?? Help

my projector headlights have some humidity in them. some droplets of water along the inside of glass. a good amount though. any way to get the water out?

 

In my last car, the way I would fix it was quite easy. First, park your car so the front end is facing the sun for a few hours. Then remove the lights from the housing. The heat from the sun will cause the moisture to evaporate through the through the empty light holes.

Of course you need a more permanent fix, but this is how I always got rid of the moisture.

 

Probably the best fix and prevention is taking it apart like your doing a BHLM. Clean it well, re-install and make sure to silicone the housing well to prevent future leaks. Just letting it sun dry may leave water spots on the inner lens surface.

Pull your headlight bulbs out, then tie some silica gel packets to a string, then drop them in your headlight housing through the bulbs holes, also let it sit in the sun. It should get rid of it. You probably also wanna seal the headlights with silicon as mentioned above.

The permanent solution would be to throw the projector headlights in the trash and install a set of OEM headlights.

A friend of mine took her Bronco into the dealership because one of the headlights was full of water. They told her it was supposed to be like that. So, she asked him to fill up the other one, since it was dry.
