The difference in weather alone is enough to cause the change.... where is the dyno correction factor?

This is another MOD designed to do one thing only... make you go faster my lightening the load in your wallet.

Wouldn't this need those helix cutouts in the bores to make it work correctly? Or is that version 2.... :p

Theoretically I can see that it could help some, kind of like the tunnel ram effect, but it just seems too thin to make any significant difference, much less a $300 difference.

It does seem expensive for a best-case 5hp increase. Also notice that the increase at the low end actually seems to be offset by a high rpm dropoff at around 5k. Imagine that, a trade-off in breathing ability.

I do find a 3mpg increase a bit hard to believe. T'aint no data that seems to support that. 5hp certainly isn't going to add that amount of mpg.

I also have to question the butt-dynos can "feel" 5hp on a 240hp engine. That's about a 2.5% increase,,, really, you can feel it... I guess it's possible, I just can't see how myself.

    Too few to list.
Might be worth it if they cut the price in half.

Dyno graph seems real enough. Lengthening the intake runners (basically what the spacer does) is expected to improve low end torque while sacrificing high-end power. Each time the intake valves open, more air enters the cylinder. However, the greater air volume also carries more inertia, so high-rpm power suffers a bit. Whether 8 lb-ft of torque is worth $300, well it's arguably more effective than $200 spent on a CAI...

Anything measurable over on XR though? I don't have confidence in my own butt-dyno, much less in anyone else's.

Is your spacer billet or some sort of thermo-plastic?

*edit: just spoke to NST, these are hard-anodized

Interesting to see Round ports on the review set and these have rectangle ports, I see you need to port the runners as well, tons of flash.

Torque/response possible, over the rpm curve no, if it was a case of dialing in performance for a racing application I can see it being apart of a build with other devices, but then again a racing manifold would have already incorporated volumetric displacement, however as most of us drive pre runners and or lifted trucks we arent racing them....likewise with no way of recalibrating MAF points its pointless, pun intended.
