Rhino liner, interesting video

So, I'm still looking to accessorize the truck and saw the debate between Rhino lining and Line X.

I go to You Tube and punch up Rhino and come up with this video as an interesting factoid/aside info on it...........

Doesn't mean they're the best or that the other guys product can't do this, but it's just interesting.

Just curious where your going to use the rhino lining on your '08?

me too, unless he is going to use it on the fender flares, as it wont really adhere to the composite bed, or so i have heard.

 

I'm not using the products. I just happen to run into the videos when searching for the Bedrug.

God not this arguement again... head on over to Tundra Solutions and look for the posts there. You can put Line-X on the composite bed but you have to use one of their other products as well as have an extra clean surface. There's a guy there that runs a Line-X shop that says it can and has been done... not sure why though since a good bed mat is all you need.

it is a cool vid though........and when i have the $$$.......the drop in bed liner will be coming outta my 04 and an over the rails line-x will be going in.

No argument and no Tundra, so no need for the product or the web sight. I have used it in the beds of my last two Tacomas though. Just curious as to his possible use for whatever applicaton. Wheel wells, sliders, nerf's, undercoating, or the whole truck?

 

a rhino lined paint job !! no more scratches. I bet it would hold better than our crappy paint jobs

 

A friend of mine did a truck in rhino for a hunting rig. I'll have to get some pictures posted.

 

i'd love to do my entire truck in the line-x liner!!1 it would be awesome, and durable as hell!!!

we have done a few golf cart bodies like that before, and they turned out really cool!!

 

Sheeze!! How much additional weight will a rino lined paint job be anyways.

FYI, Rino lining will not stand by their product if on a composite bed like ours.

 

yeah, it would be really heavy!! i take it back........if i used my truck just for hunting and offroading.......then i'd want it completely line-x'd!!

 

It would have to be a lot of additional weight and if your going to abuse the vehicle anyway, who cares.
I don't know why anyone would want to coat the composite anyway.

No offense intended.. .just anticipated the rest of the thread since the one at Tundra Solutions got into an interesting "discussion".

BTW I'm still considering Line-X for my rockers .. just happened to have to follow my own truck down the road the other day to take the wife's vehicle in for service and noticed yet another mud flap broken.. GRRRRRRRRR.. That makes three now and I haven't done any offroading.

 

its cool man, and yeah, i have seen the threads at ts myself. line-x on the rockers and fender flares will look cool as hell, and i know its durable too. i may go this route later on when i have some of the toher stuff done that im wanting to do.
