It was sad when I had 1/2 to 3/4 of rated capacity in the bed of the truck and I was easily bottoming out. I had pictures, weights, and evidence of my bump stops worn down. I think Toyota made a slight miscalculation/mistake with the rear suspension but I also think most people probably don't use their trucks like most TW members do. I don't think everyone is walking in and asking for this to be done to their truck, and unless I'm mistaken Toyota foots the bill on that one anyway. I went into the dealer with tact and knowledge of the problem and solution. On a side note, I see a pattern developing: I went into purchasing my truck with all the numbers off of the invoice as well as all of the relevant information on my trade, I went into my rear suspension TSB with knowledge, and when I agreed with the service rep about how the fan blower seemed to be a bad problem he immediately quipped about how I had 'probably researched that one on the internet too, huh?' I also had issues with each of these transactions. I think they're upset they are not making their full buck off of me...? I feel bad even assuming that, but with these jokers it very well could be true.

When I have my truck loaded with camping and fishing gear and I'm towing a boat or camper I want it to perform. Please understand that I am not expecting this truck to perform like a full sized rig...I'm keeping it's size and specifications in mind.

Unfortunately you are not the first one to say something similar. I'll already have to take a half or full day off work to take my truck to another dealer to avoid my local so I might as well drive south to Marysville or further. But as I said earlier, I will seriously rethink anything Toyota in the future. The product may be good, but if I cannot get trustworthy service the product could be worthless (worst case scenario obviously).

Thank you for all of the input, both good and bad. I think we all have a large advantage over these dealerships, we can draw off of each others experience.

Yep, fully agree. The only thing is Toyota did't make any mis calculations on their rear suspension. It is designed that way because people think trucks are "cool", but want them to ride like a car. BUT if you use your truck, then you are entitled to that per the TSB. Dealers don't like educated customers. Why they act like it comes out of their pockets, is beyond me. Good luck with your quest.
