I have not experienced this on my 2010, but did experience it heavily on my 2008.

I'm down for a phone campaign. What's the phone number?! Had the crickets in my '06, and I had no idea it was a Tacoma-wide issue... bought my '08 and it does the same thing! Drives me nuts!

went to dealer to show them that the 2 week old new blower "fix" was at it again...Sure enough it had stopped when he came out to look. #%@#$X only slightly kidnapped him and we went for a drive. Thankfully it started TICKING..louder and louder..Needless to say I'm going on the 3rd one now on a new 2010. Maybe if I keep getting them to put new ones in Toyota will perhaps try a re-design..Who ever heard of such troubles for a fan..Ridiculous

I ran a rock auto fan for 6 months or so. It never chirped but the whrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sounds of it spinning got louder and louder it seemed. I switched back to my factory fan and I've found ways to control the chirping. It's the cold that seems to make it chirp. Things like running the a/c on a cool day, etc.... If I turn off my a/c when it's below 60 out and I don't need it, it gets quiet. Then again, this fan is so pshycho that might change tomorrow. It's definitely one of the worst design decisions on this truck.

Exact same problem. Replaced by the dealer 2 months ago and its chirping again. Starts on 1, but if I turn it to full then back to one it quiets down, for now...

My 2010 started doing this a couple of months ago. It's getting worse. Someone mentioned there was a TSB for this, can you show me where to find it? Even if I have to get it worked on more than once, it's their responsibility.

I just had to dealer replace my blower motor for the same problem, 3 days later its starting to make the same noise again.. Have an appt to have the rear springs changed next week, hopefully they will attempt to repair this problem again.

I posted something this morning. Just had mine done this morning at the dealership. So far so good, the old motor that they took out was a part number that ended with 40 and the new one ended with 41. I'll keep my fingers crossed. The tsb is 0380-09.

I have a 2010 and mine started chirping on 1 and now it's up to 2 and barely audible on 3. Will attempt the TSB when I get my 10K service.

My 2010 just started chirping this am...it's at 22k. It was 0 degrees when I went out to the garage. It seemed to die down when I went from all out heat down to low setting. Hope it doesn't get worse....

My 2010 started chirping on 1 at about 3k miles, then progressed to 1 and 2. I've pulled it apart and greased it once, that lasted about a week. Every time I bring it to the dealership I get the "cannot duplicate customer's concern" run around because it's worse when the truck is cold and when it's cold in the morning. Now that winter is hitting in MN hopefully I can get the dealership to hear it and finally maybe take care of it. I enjoy working on my truck, but continually fixing something that should not be an issue on brand new vehicle is another story.

Thanks for the TSB number, it really helps to have those things when the dealership continues to play dumb (like they did with the rear spring TSB and transmission flash TSB for me).

My 09 is doing the same thing.
I shouldn't have to fix this thing just yet. It is a $30,000+ truck and still under warrenty. The dealership will be fixing this and if it comes back I'll be back bitching.
