I used a fine tooth hacksaw blade to cut out my stock grill and used windex to spray the blade as I cut to keep it clean. Was able to trace it out nicely.

I have the lower Grillcraft also but that installs over the stock one. Involves a little more work to remove the front bumper but the instructions are very detailed and isn't too bad if you take your time.

Definately spray the radiator cause like everyone says,,, you won't be happy till you do. lol

I love the way it looks on my truck.

    Good luck.

Hey Zombot, new grill looks great!

With the black bumper and light bar (very nice) I think it might look pretty sharp if the grey part of the upper grill were painted black. JMO

yeah i may have to do that. it's weird what the camera does though- in real life it's almost a graphite black. on camera is just screams gray

i surprised myself. but i figure, it's so easy to order a new stock grill, if you ever doubted yourself or sold to someone or traded in and they required it.

Painting it white may be another option. Would give it a pretty cool look also.
Or leave it as is,,, looks sharp! lol

I still haven't gotten around to painting the screws black. I noticed them when I first put the grill on and now I don't even see them. lol

I cut out the stock grill with a simple hacksaw blade. Kept spraying the blade and area with windex to keep the teeth of the blade clean and kept the blade from grabbing on the sides. Just take your time and just trace it out. You can do it! lol

yes the more i look at it, the more i'm thinking that should be white.
then i just need some black fender flares and some kind of black rocker molding to connect them and i'll have a nice 'white on top, black along the bottom' look ;)

I also have a white taco and I've been wondering what it would look like with a fully black grill, and the BHLM.

Have I missed someone's pics of this config? anyone?

probably not, because once you see it, you pretty much want to cut it out!

    :p
you really do see it right through, and since you have to remove the chrome plastic emblem for the close fit, you see that ugly snap-hole too.
