    Just done this but instead of useing a rubber valve stem. i used one of the sensors and it tighten up nicely.also used some 3 inch pipe i had and everthing fit. thanks man for giving us this ideal now my light is off. so everyone can stop saying your tire pressure is low because your light is on

    My light came back on recently, a steady light. The cannister is still there but I haven't checked the pressure yet. Not sure what's going on.

    Does it flash for the first minute and then go solid ? If so that indicates a malfunction in the TPM system .

    HAHAHA! I was on an air force base only 7 years and got searched 3 or 4 times.

    A bunch more if you count when I'd get searched driving into the PAA.

    I found the problem...leak. There was no air in it. Funny though it didn't blink continously to say the pressure was low. The light was off and after an evening out it was on steady.

    The light did blink off once about 2-3 seconds after starting.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    On steady = low tire
    Blinking = failed sensor.

    The oem steel & oem alloys are different the sensors are tilted at different degrees.
    If you have steel rims initially you have to get creative or buy the band kit if you go to an alloy rim. Some say you can turn them differently when mounting the tire. Personally have not done that but have read here.
    also..
    If you use two sets of tires and rims for summer & winter, it gets expensive.
    The toyota system is only set up to hold 5 sensors ids in memory.
    so you pay to reprogram every season not to mention the cost of buying the sensors or tool to do it yourself.
    Others make the cannister or use the wheel barrow tire or use the black tape mod.

    Yours looks nice! I haven't found the leak yet but it lost compression this time within 24hr. I'll have to put it in a bucket of water and see.
