Could this be the 3rd gen tacoma?

Re-post, and no it's not. That's just a photochop from a 4runner forum, would be pretty cool though.

 

I can tell you there's no way I'd be buying one if it was.

 

I agree, those headlights kind of remind me of that mitsubishi raider (dakota clone).

 

and the whole thing of the bed connected to the cab, can any one say Avalanche?

 

i dunno. looks like the nissan designers got really high and broke into the studio (if it was real that is).

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd gen took on that same front end.

I really hope that they don't make the 3rd gen Tacoma as boxy as the fifth gen 4Runner. Also the tail lights on the new 4Runners look awful. My $0.02

 

Toyota should just re-release the 1st gen, and watch their profits soar...

 

God i hope not. I went fom 1st gen to 2nd gen. if it is.I wont be getting 3rd gen tacoma. that is fugly!!

yea.. but everyone thought the 2005 was ugly (and over sized) when it came out too.
took me years to give in.. still don't understand the wheel arch shape.

 

Faaaacking disgusting. I think the 2nd gen Tacomas are the sexiest truck on the road by FAR.

 

Yea I don't like it. Hope that is far off from the real thing. That's too much change, except the front end looks okay. I don't like the cheap looking chrome piece on the grill though.

Also the new 4 runners are HUGE!!!! I hope the taco won't get any bigger, Mine barely fits on the trails as is.
