I need opinions is this a SCAM?

Well I'm glad I could provide some humor at the expense of my military ignorance on the world stage, but if you want to go down that road of enlightenment, personally I could care fucking less if 2/3 of this planet was turned into glass beads if ya catch my drift, my point was more to the fact that this Tacoma ad has run before , the only thing that changes is where this fist fuck is going to be deployed next & what mealy-mouthed excuse they use to promote the sale.......

It's really fucking disgusting that these assholes use the military death stories to scam people out of money. I can't fucking believe how many scam postings there are on craigslist and the schemes they try to pull. I find it even harder to believe that people would even look twice at any of the ads, the are almost too easy to spot. "If it seems to good to be true, it probably is." I knew the op was a scam by the first three words, literally.

 

Scam!! Keep in mind that PayPal only provides protection for sales that occur through Ebay. They will do transactions on the side but do not guarantee the same level of protection. PayPal and Ebay are the same company.

 

Total scam--military does not crate vehicles and won't ship them to third parties.

Thats the new scam thing, "I'm at work and can't break away". Someone tried this with some furniture I was selling on Craigslist!

 

If you honestly have to even ask yourself if it's a scam it probably is.

Same thing happened to me, 2004 Honda Accord, all the bells and whistles, $4800 I was like

Then I was informed it was a scam and I was like mother fu(ker!

 

Ive had 3 people tell me the same exact story on 3 separate vehicles.

 

Usually if you have to ask if it is a scam, then it probably is a scam.

 

1,000,000 % scam.

I did 11 years military all overseas and am now a defense contractor that spends most of my time overseas deployed with military, this is 100% a scam. DLA will not ship a truck to any place other than where the owner is being stationed or to the location of where they are getting out of the military.

I also bought a vehical while I was in Iraq via craigslist (2008 Ducati 998) but had the guy hold it until my father could go down to look at it, take pictures, and see how it ran. Then we worked out some way to process the transaction.

You have 2 options, either keep him on the hook and play with him for a while or just report/ignore it.

 

Thats a practiced email for sure. once they go more than a paragraph and it looks not even like a buddy-buddy sale,,bail on it,,or at least have another local party check it out.

Play them out,,you might do someone some good by a expose.

 

If u think it might be a scam, it 100% is a scam. I'd it's too good to be true, it prolly isn't true

 

do not even entertain the idea of attempting this transaction.

 

I've even heard reports of people posting links on Craigslist that go to a fake ebay page with their auction on it. Looks exactly like Ebay, but the money goes elsewhere.

I would do business face to face and even then not let my guard down.
