Lol, I treat lakes and ponds for a living. I pull a 12 foot Carolina Skiff with a treatment rig set up in it. Less than 1% of all our ponds actually have boat ramps so we have to make our own:D So we go over curbs and off road many times every day. Sometimes we get calls way out in the country and have to drive a ways off road with the boat. I can say, I drive off road more in a couple weeks than most do all year. It's an awesome job if you like being out side, pretty unique too.

if i do decide to keep them off, locals will have first dibs. it's just a lot less trouble to do it that way.

hey! i have 3'' of lift!. i probably won't ever go any higher, so it's not much of an issue. my girlfriend uses them, but today i got her to try getting in without using them, and it was no problem. so i'm thinking they are gonna come off.

that's definitely not an everyday job, pretty interesting. plus you get to have fun in your truck.

sell the mud flaps on e-bay- they go for 150-200 a set! And, if you sell the steps as well, this should give you enough cash to buy real sliders

Never been a huge fan of the running boards. I prefer the nerfs or the sliders. Just my two cents. Yank the mud flaps!

took off the running boards! i like the way it looks; it doesn't seem so low to the ground. it's not really noticeable in the pics, but it is in person. i don't think i will have any trouble with stuff being thrown up the side of my truck any worse because i kept the flaps. here's pics for comparison:

i'm probably gonna put up a "feeler" for my running boards if anyone is interested

lol, sounds very similar to my truck. also had an A.R.E. tonneau that i've took off and have for sale for $400 on here. just took off the running boards and have them for sale. probably gonna take off the flaps bc they are cracked and barely hanging on anyway. got the 3'' toytec. and it's a white trd off road sr5.
