-20 now check engine light?

    So its -20 with the wind chill. On my way home from work the check engine light came on! The trucks running fine so why the check engine light? How do you check what code it is?

    Maint Reqd is different than the engine symbol..

    But a dramatic change in temperature could fool the tank into thinking it was leaking, especially if it was mostly empty.

    You need to get the code checked because right now you are just specualting on a fix when you don't even know what the problem is. In other words, we can't help you unles we know what the code(s) is.
