-20 now check engine light?

So its -20 with the wind chill. On my way home from work the check engine light came on! The trucks running fine so why the check engine light? How do you check what code it is?

 

im sure pep boys or autozone will scan for free, or for like $5, that way you can find out.

Could it be the trucks check engine light that goes on every 5k miles telling you to change the oil?

 

thats the Maint. light, its different then the check engine light.

 

Maint Reqd is different than the engine symbol..

But a dramatic change in temperature could fool the tank into thinking it was leaking, especially if it was mostly empty.

 

what do those codes mean?

 

the tank is right at a 1/4 full

 

what would the cause be to trigger these code?
