weathertech mats in a manual truck, pics?

those of you who had to notch your mat, what does the notch look like? i'm debating here what the heck to get and i like the weathertech digital fit units BUT i have a 6 speed manual.

 

I took a dremel to it, doesn't look bad. You don't reallly need to notch it just take a little off at a time. Pics when i get off work.

 

i took an exacto knife... put the weathertech in. Push the clutch in and use a marker to mark where the clutch touch the mat. THen just cut out that area and poof it works beautifully.. I really is much easier than you might think. I was concerned before i did it as well. It is VERY simple.

I used scissors to cut just below where the clutch hits and cleaned up the sharp edge with some fine grit sandpaper. It looks like it came from the factory. REALLY easy to do... nothing to worry about.


PS - These mats are awesome and totally worth it.

 

why does the mat have to be notched/cut? does the mat keep the clutch from being depressed enough for proper function?
I have the Toyota all weather mats in my 2 door 4x4 with a manual transmission and I don't notice any shifting problems.

 

I put weathertechs in mine and did not notice any interference or catching. Was prepared to trim, but didn't have to.

Here's a pic of how much you need to trim so you don't catch your clutch pedal... Just mark it with the pedal pressed down then take scissors and trim, very easy...

I used a razor blade to trim mine. Heres how it looks. Doesnt catch at all

 

worth it, do it and buy it...its that easy, straight blade and it was over....if thats what got ya on the fence, then you should just get 'em
