I noticed you have a 2010 model. Was there a software update for '10/'11 models? I thought I read somewhere here that the TRD supercharger wouldn't work due to the ECU software update not being available. If that's the case, I'm gonna get one.

Does that mean you can't do the S/C or just that you have to forgo the safety override?

Very stupid! So, because I got the recall work done I now can't get a S/C? Please tell me I misunderstood.

I would want to go to the X-1 eventually for total control.

BTW, I just spoke to a tech at the local dealer and he said he was not aware of their being any issue with reflashing an ECU for a S/C tune post the recall flash for the auto (I hate having an auto but that is all there was in my model.) If you find info that confirms it is an issue it will be good that we get that cleared up. Thanks.

whippersnapper02, thanks for looking those up. As you write, it should be fixed now or at least I will get a new ECU :)

Do you or anyone know what the differences are in these three SC items.

The links come from one of the threads you posted and the pricing is pretty good. I think I need the S/C kit and the fit kit which would be the first and second items. I am not sure what that last one is.

    Lots baby!
    One is Just the S/C.

One is the fit kit. There is a different fit kit for the FJ from the Tacoma.

    One is both.

Thanks. That is what I thought but wasn't sure. So far I think that is the best pricing I have found.

I was getting 21 mpg on the highway before I lifted the truck.

I am getting around 16 combined now on 33s, but I blame it more on aerodynamics than the actual tires

is the 4.0 v6 made for the s/c. If you get to instaled at a toyota dealer will it void your warranty?

ok cool. what is the compression ratio of the 4.0 v6. just worried that the motor will wear out if it is not set up for forced induction

If i was gonna get a supercharger, Id just get URD. Stage 3 kit i think puts you in the 450+ Numbers...? Pretty badass for a tacoma.
