Says the flat lander who prob has never been on a real trail. Haha :p joking of course.. But I'm from the east coast so I know there isn't shit there. But what does my expo tent trailer have to do with " inability" to drive? I was simply saying that hauling a 8' long military trailer behind a DCLB was not my first choice and was going to sell it but with a shorter wheel base, I feel a lot better dragging it over a mtn I wheel all over colorado and Moab. Pretty sure I can drive just a tad. ;) I also teach off road driving to my customers ( I work for land rover )

Coming from a 2dr jk wrangler.. The DCSB has a shit ton of cargo room. More then I will ever need. The long bed was just wasted space for me to drive around. The SB feels more like an SUV ( 100 series or 80 series) where the long bed just feels like a full size truck ( in length) I can wheel a lifted suburban but I choose not to. Just my opinion. Like I said. Everyone has specifics needs. I'm happy with my new choice now. I was miserable with the DCLB. Both are great trucks though!

This is the best statement in the whole thread! Considering a LB to SB trade myself. (Just to have a manual trans. I won't really miss the LB for all the more I use it the SB will handle mostly everything fine

Whoa guy, no need to be so mean haha. That flat lander comment really hurts...I really don't care what you drive or that you're the best driver in the world but thanks for all the fun facts

The real reason I bought a LB was because there were no SB's left  lol

I didn't buy my truck to drive off-road, It's a pavement queen and my DD. If I had some trails around I would probably venture out and try them but I don't have the disposable income to fix my truck after off-road trips. Looks like it would be fun to get out to those places. But even out there, the places I'd be driving, my LB would work just as well. I'm not going to go crawling up some 45* slope or anything like that haha. With a possible move out West coming, maybe I'll have the chance to try my hand in some mild off-roading! I can say I definitely got a little cocky with my lift and tires and want to try some off-roading haha. But even if I do move out West I would much rather spend my time skiing and mountain biking, I just use my truck to get me there and transport my gear. I like the LB for the fact that I can stand my bike up and not have to take a wheel off or that I can lay my skis straight front to back in the bed and not have to lay them diagonally all over each other.

Oh and I'm a man so I drive a man's truck and I'm over compensating  lol

DCSB FTW!!! Shit Uh I mean.... DCLBFTMFWMF

Well with all that being brought to the surface I can sleep well tonight. Teneighty, FUDB in a very polite sense DCLBFTMFW and you know this. Beavis, FUDB FUDB. SB's may win a poll but they'll never win at hauling groceries.

Been seeing some people ragging on the Access Cab. Personally I like the look of the Access Cab more than either regular or double (I have a double cab). Had to get the double cab for the extra room for children. As for shortbox or long, I don't mind the look of either on the RC or AC. But I sure as heck do not like the look of the short box on the Double Cab. Looks like they forgot to finish it, or ran out of material.

So....you'd technically be going from a Shorty to a LB.

No, he'd be going from a LB to an 8' bed.

Wrong. What has been seen cannot be unseen, like the utter failure that is a SB. What has been said in jest can be unsaid. 1080, back me up here.....

    Boone, I'm with ya!
the words written before were not mine!

I was being held at gunpoint by a SB finatic who just couldn't stand that the LB was actually better and that he had wasted all that money on half a truck

Probably a toy. Next time when they point a gun just look for the orange tip that signifies a toy, not the real thing. It looks like this:

Heres a little insight on this for y'all, at a recent Taco meet in the PNW, 3 out of 3 DCLB were killed. 1 - hydro locked a motor, 2 - destroyed the rear diff, 3 - snapped the rear drive line and a few others things.

There were a lot of DCSB, only one got a new exhaust mod where it came loose form the header.

And the 3 DCLB were very well equipped with very experienced drivers. SO...
