Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    both are fruit :)

I have had both. It totally depends on what you are doing with your truck IMHO. I personally got to despise the shortbed. Wheel wells in the wrong position in bed. Every carry a sheet of plywood in it? Every put a big motorcycle and have to have tailgate hanging open and rear tire hanging on it? Can't put mountain bikes in them with tailgate closed, if you do have to lay them down which sucks. I did some duck hunting in mine and slept in the back. Had to put foam in groove of open tail gate as my feet can getting caught in groove. Furniture hangs out to far. The list is long. I loved the truck, the bed length left a lot to be desired. I will enjoy my 2104 LB.

I have had both as well.

i chose to go back to AC for the LB

there are some people who make the best of the short bed, but for the most part if you actually use the bed like a truck. LB for the win.

Sorry man...I am an engineer and I had to quantify it. Hard to just say LB over SB without some info to support it...:D. As I said I have had both so I think my assessment is fair. I think both look nice so everybody wins, I just need functionality.

I have hauled tons of plywood, studs, drywall etc.

And the LB is hands down easier..

SB is "just fine" if you do it once or twice. Its a PITA if you do it on the regular

Well of course. If I owned a construction company or hauled stuff like that all the time, a LB would be too small as well. That's when I would get a tundra. All in all, long beds and short beds both have their ups and downs. The short bed fits my needs. It can haul my dirt bike, an ATV, plywood, lumber boards, shale, firewood, and does well on the trails. And those are perfectly fine for a short bed. It fits MY needs. Others need a long bed, others don't so it's whatever people want. I like both, but I didn't need a 6' bed so that's why I didn't get one.

That's exactly it. Once or twice, while its a PITA, you can get by. But if you use the truck doing many different things the SB is a headache. Prior to selling my 03 and recently moved a friend to his new place. Even he commented on why is this bed so small. Its amazing what that extra foot does for loading and hauling.

Its interesting I test drove the Tundra before I bought my new Tacoma. I did not care for it at all. The Tacoma is a far more fun and easy truck to drive. The Tundra is a full size truck and drives like one. I had my big trucks. Tacoma's are good trucks.

and I didnt want a short bed. So we both win!!

    We got what we wanted

and those that got short beds went over to long beds after realizing what a bad decision they made.

I had an AC too. It really didn't bother me that the bed was shorter. With what I do with the truck, it made no difference. Because what things I haul in my SB with the tailgate down, the tailgate had to be down on my AC too.

Man no kidding. You walk up to it and the bed side is like 4 feet tall or something. Kind of odd. Also a big turn off was the price. Tacoma is the best bang for the buck. hands down.
