I'm trying to make a decision about what tonneau cover to get for my shortbed, Extang Revolution which doesnt have the velcro along the edges or the TruXedo Lo Pro QT which has the velcro. I honestly dont know if there is much of a difference between the 2 other than the velcro.

I have an Extang Tuff Tonneau. It's my second one (had one on another truck), and I'm very happy with it. With that being said, I was considering the Revolution, which seemed like the best soft tonneau on the market, but got the Tuff because of price. I'm not a fan of velcro tonneaus. I have seen too many in person that just look like crap (i.e. velcro failing). Between the two, I would go for the Revolution.

Ya that is my main concern, the velcro. Which is why I am leaning towards the revolution but my only concern is at highway speeds, would it puff up, stretch and get damaged?

I have the Truxedo Lo Pro QT on my 2010 DC and the install is super easy along with it looks quite nice. The velcro holds very well. The only real complaint I have with it is that it seemed to stretch over the summer and now it's almost too big to velcro to the base. A little disappointed about that actually, but other than that great product for the price I paid from Truck Alterations special pricing page.

I'm bringing back this old post because this is now my exact question, I've narrowed my choice of tonneaus to either one of these 2. My question is how does the extang work exactly? I'm at work so I can't watch the video on their site but I can read that it doesn't use snaps or velcro, so what DOES it use?

For those of you with the truxedo, how long have you used it and any problems?

I have the extang on my 2010. Velcro works fine. But it makes allot of wind noise. Also the buckles make noise in the wind at 45mi. up . If I was you Id get the Access...much better...no noise

So the extang does actually do a good job of sealing? I just can't picture how it works or how it seals with actually sealing?

I have had the TruXedo Lo Pro QT on my truck since September 08. It is holding up great, no stretching and velcro still holds tight.

OK, another question for you Truxedo guys: when it's all tensioned and latched, is it possible for somebody to just lift up in the middle and reach in the bed, or is it stretched too tight for that to happen?
Seems like the extang wouldn't allow that to ever happen?

Had to go out and try it. Yes, you can undo the velcro and reach in and unlatch it. Soft tonneaus only keep honest people honest. Any soft tonneau can easily be cut and accessed.
