Kyle, Not 100%, and since insurance investigators are already calling me (for some unknown reason....) I am not saying a word. Not that any of you are insurance guys from USAA, but she was going fast enough for the dash to be pushed into her knees and the tow company guy to look, roll his eyes, and say,"yea.....its totaled..." If we both make it to Mod Day, I'm sure I'll discuss the details then.

Are you SURE???? Have you checked you're not upside on the loan? Insurance will probably pay book value, not loan value.

Good luck...and especially good to hear she got out of it OK too.

Completely understand OP's joy. Had little hooks, besides the divorce decree, in me to worry about like that for over 15 yrs until kids graduated from high school. The day they graduated was a very very very happy day.........................and I was proud of the twins for graduating too, lol. X lost all power of cohersion and extortion that day that the decree died. Enjoy your final and complete emancipation.......I know I am, been celebrating it ever since for the past 5 yrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great story! We should all say a prayer for the Taco that did that for you to rest in peace in Taco heaven! I think I would even have a little wake/meet for it also. Sad to see a Taco die, but bonus for you! Congrats! +1 rep for a good story and great outcome!
