Who goes camping with their Taco?

Thanks man Im looking for another taco bed to turn into a trailer, my gf liked being off the ground, and I liked the tent, haha.

Thanks. Getting off the ground at the beach is great camping. This is the cheap RTT set up.
The rack is a basic work truck ladder rack with a 4' x 8' piece of plywood attached with u bolts.

The tent is an old (maybe 15 yrs old) truck bed tent originally used with my old 88 yota pickup (sorry no pics). Dont remeber the company who made it. That was the original set up on the 98 taco. The other picks with my original posting is the new set up on the 05 taco.

 

nice! just looking at the pic I figured there was a good 1k dropped on that setup. looks really professional actually.

hey t-bird, where is this? we just moved up the road from you and im lookin for this kinda spot to take the girl and the furry kids for a weekend. we just looked for houses in yer neck of the woods but so far remain in the UV.

I camp all the time, just bought in the spring of 2010 a viking 14' trailer, part of the reason I bought the Tacoma, my 96 explorer just wasnt up to the pulling task. if I had pics I'd post

 

This thread is fuller of WIN than any I've seen lately...............zero sarcasm. Nice setups everyone.

 

A lot of you guys have the right idea...roughing it is the only way to go! I NEED to go camping again....used to go 1-2 times a month for 10 years.

 

This aint roughin it. It's heaven.

I only bring a small single-man tent as a precaution. Otherwise I only build natural shelters. I don't even bring a flashlight.
