    Thanks. Getting off the ground at the beach is great camping. This is the cheap RTT set up.
    The rack is a basic work truck ladder rack with a 4' x 8' piece of plywood attached with u bolts.

    The tent is an old (maybe 15 yrs old) truck bed tent originally used with my old 88 yota pickup (sorry no pics). Dont remeber the company who made it. That was the original set up on the 98 taco. The other picks with my original posting is the new set up on the 05 taco.

    Wow what a response, this is great. All have great setups, to each his own. I see some other truck bed tents and some other sweet setups. Keep them coming.

    A lot of you guys have the right idea...roughing it is the only way to go! I NEED to go camping again....used to go 1-2 times a month for 10 years.

    Hahaha.

    I only bring a small single-man tent as a precaution. Otherwise I only build natural shelters. I don't even bring a flashlight.
