Well, just like the title says. Where was your first scratch or dent, how long after you got your Tacoma, how did it happen?

I just got my first scratch today. 400km on my Tacoma, bought it on Thursday last week. Getting into the drivers seat in uniform, the flashlight in my flashlight/pen light/pen holster on my belt, scratched the front of the rear door. It's about 3" long and it's gonna be a touch-up paint fix.

I made it to around 1000 miles before my first. Lent my truck to my girlfriend's sister (I know) for a weekend. Came back with a dent just behind the passenger side door.

Someone drove into the side of my truck. I had to get a new rear access door and rear fender, couldn't really use touch up paint on mine. Porbs first 100 miles

I bought mine used however it didn't have any dents and only one chip in the paint on the drivers side front fender flare. I put my first dent in it back in the spring. I hit the tailgate with a 2x4 when I was loading them into the bed and put a little ding in it to the right of the tailgate handle.

I got a couple already, only 4000 miles on her. Two on the roof from my Yakima Rack that I torqued down a little two hard on and one in the rear quarter from my hip loading something in the bed. Sucks, but it's a truck not a trophy.

i was SO pissed! 3 days into the mission i got rear ended by a light post while i was just sittin there, parked, not even moving. i swear its true! dinked up the bumper a bit and made a small crease in the fender just ahead of it revealing some primer which i covered with touchup paint. the next week i got doored but thats just a white paint mark. now with 3k on it, ive noticed someone got the rear bumper on the opposite side which i hope will mostly polish out. people and light posts in this town drive like shit so its really only a matter of time before more happens.

I backed into one of those concrete pillars that surround gas pumps. Yep, I'm the reason they put those in, I'm the guy.

It was a good excuse to ditch the chrome bumper for a black one though

The first time I washed it (had it for a couple weeks). I jumped into the bed to hose it down from the top down. When I pulled the hose and it barely rubbed the truck, but it managed to scratch along the cab just behind the rear access door.

Also, stood in the door frame area to look at the top of the cab and my shoe scratched that too.

I got my truck used and there was a slight dent on the side of the bed. I had my truck maybe a month before I got the 1st dent. My brother for my B-Day got my name Jesse James across the windshield. Well, the guy that did the lettering put a dent in the crease on the hood. I was so pissed off. About 2 months later my other brothers dogs jumped up on the side of my truck. I now have claw marks down the side of my bed on top of the dent that was already there when I got my truck.

No body damage as of yet. Going on 2 months now.

3 days into ownership, and I got my first rock chip in the window, but that's because of the damned pea gravel they mix in with the dirt for the roads around here. The next day I was almost side swiped by a (woman) driver that decided (she) they didn't want to turn right anymore.

@ 4000 miles, my camper shell bashed a couple of dents in the roof (one w/ cracked paint) after I reinstalled it too far forward & did some bumpy roads. (No thanks to the original installer, or the designer of the bed - still dealing with a leak.)

Good thing it's a truck.

3 months after I got my rig my wife and I went out to dinner and some douche noggle keyed it! It was to deep to buff out so I ended up having to pay $200.00 out of pocket to get it fixed. PISSED because that $200.00 could have went towards a light bar.
