Just got a 2011 grill from Town and Country Toyota in NC. There was a "Linwood" deal there thru TW for color matched 05-10 grills for 175 back a bit and David there in parts honored that deal and sent me an 11 for 185 shipped. He made me pay 10 for shipping. I would imagine you could call and arrange a color matched for 185 shipped if this other place doesn't work out. The number at T&C is 704-552-7600 then some ext for parts then ask for David and mention TW Linwood deal. The dealers around me were wanting 300.00. I bought the 11 for 185 then sold my 05 for net of 75 after shipping it so all in all paid 110 for the new 11 grill. BTW, the 11 was base model one.

took mine to a paint/body shop. Exactly color matched for $80 bucks. Just got it back today. Left him my front skid plate to get armored painted black for $80.

 

my go-to paint shop wouldn't do the chrome surround. they said no matter what kind of prep, etc, it will be vulnerable to chipping and such from road debris. i asked him why can't they just sand down the chrome plating on the plastic and he said no way :shrugs:

it was 180something shipped. due to some confusion, even though i ordered one for a 2011, they sent me the 2010 version without the honeycomb styling. they emailed me a return label, took it back, and at the same time shipped out the 2011 version. spoke with "gary" and had a great experience.

 

What if one was to buy a color matched one for a certain color truck and then take it to a body shop to get it color matched to Impulse Red...what color should that person buy? I like the look of the '11 so thinking that route and using my stock chrome for whatever...

 

Me too.....75.00 Been holding up just fine for about a year.

Mine has held up great for about a year...I guess its not worth the trouble for some bodyshops???
I almost used partsbarn and would have if I couldnt have had it painted. partsbarn is a toyota dealer...I cant remember where...Texas?

yep, toyota dealer, but in Ohio.

probably the unpainted base one, if there is such a thing...i actually am not sure if it is indeed not painted - it looks dark gray to me when i've seen it on the road.

EDIT: yes, unpainted w/o SR5 is $134 on their site.

but if you do get one from them or any place, make sure you leave a comment in the box during ordering letting them know exactly what you are trying to do. either the system or partsbarn's system is screwy, but in their catalog, they have the same grille listed for several spans of years up to 2011, when in fact the grille style did change for 2011 so that is impossible.

I am getting ready to order a color matched 2011 Grille so I can finally get rid of my Chrome one, my question is, does the 2011 Silver have the exact same paint code as my 05? I want to be sure it will match.

I also want to be sure the clips and everything are in the same place and I wont have any fitting issues..
