I'm thinking about trading my 01 Tacoma (sr5, with a cold air intake) in for a newer body (2nd gen) TRD. Basically, I'd be paying about 4 or 5 grand for the trade. What's your alls' take on the trade? Work it, or no?

    What I have:
01 double cab, SR5 V6, no TRD, cold air intake mod, 150,000 miles, automatic, 4wd

    What I'm looking at:
    05 double cab, V6, TRD off-road, 80,000 miles, auto, 4 wheel drive

Would you say make this trade, or just keep what I have and put a catback and a lift plus bigger wheels and offroad tires on it?

if you could move up to that for 4-5 grand out of pocket i would say its a good deal.
