Perhaps you could do a write up on how to test the sensors once you get it all figured out....

Can you tell us how much did the cleaning cost?

The detailing cost $250 for the whole truck, in and out. They did strip my seat mounts and not really do a full cleaning as you can see mud definitely stayed, so I charged it back. Problem is me and my friend payed half cash half credit so I was only able to charge back half. Awaiting charge back....

Don't know how to test the sensors, I did want to see some help with this thread but mainly comments

Im 200 miles away from my 1st free maintenance, so my current plan is to finish cleaning, put it all back together and take a chance. If they ask anything/catch why, thats when I'll act like an idiot i guess ;) Or go dealer to dealer till someone else is...haha

Feh. If you've exceeded your ability to fix it on your own, it's an insurance claim not a warranty issue

It will be more than a loss of money. Take it as a lesson learned and I would question how good those "friends" that were with you are. I would have hold you ass down and made you realize that you were gonna loose against that mud pit.

Learn your lesson and move on to a new truck. As many have said it here, it will never be the same and you are in for a long road of issues on the wiring...

Or you could drive it like you stole it and trade it right before of after the warranty expires.

Whatever you decide, I think your post is on the classic hall of fame here.

ok, for the 4x4 vs prerunner bit - let it be people!

Even with my 4x4, 3" lift, and 285 BFG's, I've been stuck in that same hole...right along with a LOT of other people..

OP: props for you for the attempt!

....I think it's the same hole..are those wooden posts new??

It's I shame people try to pull things like this. Man up and be responsible for your decisions. File an insurance claim and let it be. No sense in trying to get anyone other than yourself to pay for what you did.

How can the insurance company cover this? Educate me pls. Not picking a fight or a shitting contest here...I just do not see how I can file a claim on this...the company would be like WTF? You drove it where??????? And why??????

As for trading it in, yes, it would be hard for all the parties involved to include that lucky soul that buys it from a crooked dealer. The dealer always screw you regardless on how much they smile at you. If he trades it in, he screws them over but the OP has the big loss since the truck is so new....Lesson learned.
