I just purchased a new 2010 Double cab pre-runner and my question is: I would like my door locks to lock automatically when I put my truck in gear. Is that possible???

I believe this has already been discussed on here before. Try using the "search" function, I'm sure you'll find a thread or two about this! Good luck!

Definitely possible if you have a good aftermarket alarm, but usually door locks when ignition key is in the 'on' position, not in gear mode.

Wow, that was helpful. Anyway I did read something about that somewhere. But if I remember right, it was for a 1st gen or early model 2nd. I'll have to look. Cause I would like to do this too. Having a 5yo son, I wouldn't mind the doors locking when I put it in gear, and unlocking in park.

I, too, am used to my doors locking and unlocking as the vehicle moves and is put into park. I have developed a habit of pushing the door lock btton with my right hand as I reach for my seatbelt. The doors on my Access Cab override the lock if you want to exit so I am not as concerned with the unlocking part.
