3 or 4 leaf pack with 2010 rear tsb?

i searched this topic but didn't find much. i have a 2010 trd OR sport with a 3 leaf pack in the rear. I know of and have read the rear leaf spring tsb for previous years. my truck has a 3 leaf pack and i have heard that if you have 3 you can qualify for the tsb to get done. is that right?

i wouldnt quite say my truck has a harsh ride but i do always have about a 150 lbs of tools in my truck and the roads i drive on are warped and full of pot holes. ( i live in new england). so those of you have gotten it done, did you go from a 3 leaf and they installed a 4 leaf pack? or did they replace the 3 leaf with another 3 leaf pack with different compression ratings?

 

The three leafs is the standard leaf pack. The TSB will be a four leaf pack. I had mine done last year. If the truck hits the bump stops they should do it for you depends on the dealer I guess. There are lots of threads just do a search for leaf spring tsb and you'll find lots of threads.

 

TSB will give you 4 leafs and about an extra 1" of height.

 

The TSB # is (t-sb-0305-08) Rear spring harsh ride. You can read all about what Toyota will do for your truck.... My 2010 trd is going in on Monday for the ride tsb and for vibs. at and round 20 to 40 mph sounds like a pipe is hitting the frame...

 

I am at riverside Toyota. Working on this tsb. They been giving me a hard about not needing it done till I took out the photos

 

my truck is getting the 4 spring pack, tsb for vibs, trans shifting tsb, ecm flash, will be done on Friday

 

is this something i need to worry about in a '11 model? the 3 leaf springs almost curl up (reverse arch) and all i have is a cap & moved the spare up into the bed, so it's not a weight issue.

Don't the dealers get paid by Toyota for this? Like warranty work? Wonder why some dealers do not want to do the work.

 

Yes they get paid the warranty rate.

 

I tow a trailer with a atv i needed this done... DO or WILL you tow a trailer that is the ????? when mine gets done on Friday i will order 5100's lift....

 

I just returned from Toyota from having my spring pack change from 3 to 4 leaf spring pack WHAT A different ride now my truck rides so good!!!!
It was OK with the 3 leaf springs but now it is more firm... I like it a lot....
