To be TRD, or not to be, that is the question.

So, my wife and I are in the market for 2 used Tacomas. My wife has a nice double cab, pre-runner with TRD and SR5 2004 with 108k miles on it on her radar. We will prolly get it, fingers crossed, for 10k. I'm also looking for one but I want an access cab manual transmission pre-runner. My question is the following, there is this 06 pre-runner, manual, with 77k miles on it but it doesn't have the TRD package, for a good price, should I go for it? Actually, I really like my Tacos to sit high and may eventually lift it, but not within the near future. What actually is the TRD and does it really make a difference, does it make the pre-runner sit higher?

Prerunner is the 2wd on the 4x4 suspension (more or less)...So that will give you the a bit higher stance.
The TRD Sport package has an LSD and seats with some color match trim.
The TRD Offroad package has a locking rear differential.

I would say get a non TRD package and build into it what you want. I woulda saved a bit o'cash to have done that....OOPS.
