No, I haven't... Come to think of it, I'm still on my original brake pads (2.5yrs & 18,500mi) This is just a self-diagnosis, I'm just guessing the stock lines expanding is my problem. Just recalling gripes I've read about them & how the pedal feels when in use. If I'm wrong I'll look deeper into the system but, I thought of starting off with just the surface stuff. Either way, I still end up with some sweet look'in brake lines.

I have the same issue too. Where can we add known fixes for quick reference instead of searching. Like a "Fix Link"?

Ok, so I just had my new Goodridge G-Stop Brake Lines installed today and have about 1/2 a day driving w/ them. First off, I do feel a positive improvement over the stock rubber lines. Now, is this improvement solely b/c of the steel braided lines? I'm not sure yet. It could also be b/c they did a flush and re-bleed of the brake system, oh, and new front pads too. What I will say, is the pedal throw seems a little shorter and I can now 'feel' (through the pedal) when the brakes start to engage. Before, I would was 'feeling' the brakes from the tires, almost no feedback from the pedal at all. (if that makes any sense) Also, the new lines are a bit longer than stock so, if I descide to lift her a little I have some slack to play with. Oh, almost forgot, they look pretty sweet too. I'll update again after a week or so to see if any changes occur. Overall though, I'm really pleased w/ the purchase.

    good to hear man!!!

and for adjusting the rear brakes without taking the drums off..........go in reverse 4 or 5 times and get on the brakes pretty good.......that will adjust them. the parking brake doesnt self adjust the rear brakes on the newer tacomas. just a heads up!!:)

Cool. Sounds very much like my experience with the Altima: Better pedal feel. I think I'll be doing this.

are you suggesting that I do this to 'prime' the rear since my line replacement? If so, everyone watch out, I'm driv'in in reverse tomorrow. :burnrubber:Thanks for heads up. I am understanding you correctly, right?

well, im just saying that if the rears havent been adjusted in a while, going in reverse and hitting the brakes will adjust them up.......but be careful doing it!!! dont wanna plow into a house or another car!! find an empty parking lot and give it a go!!:D

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
It could also be b/c they did a flush and re-bleed of the brake system,

    There's your answer.
Try this....sitting at a stoplight, pump the brake pedal a few times and feel it firm up....air in your lines.
Alot of Toyota vehicles come with air in the lines.
I had my wife's RAV4 bled after we owned it a few months...big difference.
The reason the stainless lines 'feel' firmer is that you have to bleed the system after you install them.
