Tag, see if this link will work for you. If not just go to Cars.com and search for new Tacoma's within all miles. Max price at 20K and then select option 4x4/AWD.

I think it might be worth the drive to MA/NJ/CT as they have some listed around mid 18's/high 17's. Some dealers will also deliver to your door for a small fee, and some will deliver for free.

Call these dealers and work something out. Screw the rusted POS they are trying to rip you off over.

From what I remember reading in one of those "negotiation guides", Saturn dealers get exclusive areas and fixed selling prices that were a good amount above invoice. Hassle-free, yes, but you were paying dearly for the convenience. :)

    T,

    FWIW...

While I live in Alaska, My Father and Sisters reside just north of Springfield MA...So I considered combining a trip to see them with a truck buy. The local Toyota outfit, Balise Toyota in Springfield MA., had 3 or 4 R/C-4x4-5sp '10's that they were keen to move...IIRC the internet quote was sub 19k.

I found them via Autotrader using my Pop's zipcode....01085.

If the local outfit hadn't made me the offer they did, I would have traveled to either Oregon (no sales tax) or back to see my family and purchased at a much better price than my local dealership (only one in Alaska) initially tried to leverage.

Also, the '10's were eligible for smokin' low corporate financing and, I think, 750.00 discount in addition to the final sales price.

FWIW...I really like my truck...went for the deal because I didn't want to hassle with locating the proper buckets (airbags) to retrofit the base model and ship them up here. The deal I got on the '11 was very comfortable. However I'd prefer the 5sp. If my circumstance had allowed, I would have located a pre-2010 base with manual and retro'd buckets.

    Great truck...Good luck.

I got my 2010 for $18,500. I would think that you could do a little better now that the 2011's are on the lots.

They also had an "auto show discount" of $500 they coughed up when I bought my 05 Ion. Plus they tossed in the extended warranty for free. Out the door price with 9% sales tax and all fees was $13,300. Just hit 100,000 miles on it.

Try Gateway Toyota in Toms River N.J. Internet sales department.Pricing was right. The only problem was I had to tell them no numerous times that I don't want to buy any dealer added profit items.Window etching ,paint sealant,or extended warranties. When I said cancel the sale they finally gave up and sold me the truck
