Block heater

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK,

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIT A BLOCK HEATER TO A 2005 AMERICAN
IMPORT D/CAB, SHT/BOX, MANUAL.

Buy the block heater from the dealer. It is a cartridge style the slides into an opening in the back of the block.

Welcome to TW, sounds like Marks answer is spot on, we get cold here in Rochester, but not enough to use a heater, your region gets some really nasty below temps, so what's the coldest you have been subjected to ?

 

Calgary can get down to 35 below a little different to the uk where i'm from.

 

Where is this situated on the block itself.?

 

It goes in just under the left cylinder head in a round hole in the block. You should definately be able to find them in the Canadian dealers, since the part number is canadian. Had to wait until the dealer in the states got them before I bought it.

It can get to 35 degrees below down here too. 35 degrees below our summer temperatures, that is (brrrr!).
