Are you driving in snow or rain? I get this smell during the winter months up here in NY. It's the snow, sand and salt mix burning on the exhaust. I get the same smell out of my wife's Honda. If you get it when it's dry out I would have it checked...

I noticed the same smell the other day it was snowing and cold i crawled all under the truck looked all over the motor couldn't find a thing. Smelled like rubber burning not salt on the exhaust but could have been.

Yeah...it smells odd like burning rubber but it really isn't. Something about that combination of salt, sand and snow that is just right. I just got home from skiing and sure enough...same smell... No worries if that is the only time you smell it. Like I said though, if it does it when it is dry then you might have something else going on.
